Tidy Towns Appeal

Post date: May 19, 2011 2:17:14 PM

Tidy Towns are appealing to all to be vigilant, if they see anyone dumping rubbish, this is a serious offence and one that can incur a heavy fine. Serious dumping is occuring on Colemans Road and the Lords walk, we are very grateful to Joe Anderson and John Fennelly who are patroling all the black spots and collecting all the rubbish. A dumper was captured on camera on Morans Lane dumping very heavy plastic bags into the ditch at a very dangerous junction on the back road, this information will be passed on to the council. At the Laois Federation of Tidy Towns AGM in County Hall on March 1st Laois County Council gave a commitment that they are going to crack down on all dumping.
